Everyone is looking for the edge—something that can help set us free from sickness
and disease and live in good health. Recently, I was talking with a good friend that
was going through breast cancer and she mentioned to me that she had been using
an astrologer to help with the timing of her surgeries. I was intrigued as she was
really sailing through the treatment process with great results. Could this be why?
I spoke with astrologer Gloria Star to find out more about how astrology relates to
health and learned that each of the planets and signs has particular areas of the
body that they influence through their rulership. The area of astrology that studies
this is called medical astrology and, as I learned, is very complex. This branch of
astrology utilizes the individual’s horoscope to identity weak areas that may be
predisposed to illness along with potential treatment options.
Gloria shared some things you can look at to give you an idea of the areas in your
body that might have greater physical sensitivity. You can obtain a free astrology
chart at www.alabe.com ,here you can look up your sun, moon and ascendant sign.
When you get that information you can look up the sun, moon and ascendant in the
chart below to see what you might want to pay particular attention to. The
associated body part is one that might be more prone to a weakened vitality. While
this doesn’t mean you are doomed to a disease in that area, you should be aware
that you could be vulnerable. So, why not take steps to strengthen and protect that
body part?
Gloria also mentioned something everyone should be aware of when planning an
elective procedure. The first being Mercury in retrograde, which many of you know
as a time when electronics fail and communication goes haywire. During this time
it’s not advised to start any new health methods but rather look at what you are
currently doing and tweak it to see what’s working and what’s not. It is a good time
to do corrective surgery to address something that has already happened but needs
to be addressed again. Fix what didn’t get fixed before or complete a procedure that
is a multi-staged procedure such as breast cancer. Additionally, Venus in retrograde
isn’t the best time for any type of plastic surgery and definitely stay away from Mars
in retrograde as this planet rules surgery and during this time there tends to be
more accidents.
As I mentioned in the beginning, medical astrology is complex so if you are
interested in improving your health in the New Year or increasing your odds for
improving the outcome of an upcoming surgery, you might want to contact a
medical astrologer for a personal consultation.
Wishing you all a healthy New Year.
